FCAC Group Description and Fees;

Training Groups:
Within the general structure of the practice groups is an underlying philosophy.  The best way for young people to enjoy a long career is through the gradual introduction of new skills and to continually build upon their past learning and training.  Understanding the value of hard work and discipline while learning to commit to a team effort is an important step in a young person’s athletic development.   The FCAC competitive program is organized into practice groups of swimmers compatible in age, ability. Commitment goals, practice attendance and time standards.  Swimmers are assigned to these practice groups by the coaching staff.

Mighty Minnows: (8 Years and Under):  Comprised generally of 8 year olds and under; they will learn competitive strokes, starts and turns.  This groups trains 3 times a week and participates in competitive meets.

Flying Fish: (9-12 Year Olds):  This group is more goal oriented.  It includes 9 to 12 years olds and who are committed to year round swimming.  Practice is held 4 times a week and proper stroke technique is encouraged.

Seniors: (13 Years Old and over):  This advanced group is for swimmers who are serious about stroke technique, training, individual goal setting, team commitment and team travel.  Swimmers in this group practice 9 times a week. High school age swimmers - Dryland will be offered Tuesday and Thursdays 4:30-5:00 pm.

National Level:  This is the highest training level for experienced swimmers committed to high standards of training in terms of attendance and practice intensity.  Swimmers in this group are generally high-school age.  High school age swimmers - Dryland will be offered Tuesday and Thursdays 4:30-5:00 pm.

Masters: (18 and older):  This group is comprised of adults who still want to swim to either stay in shape, train for triathlons or want to compete in Masters level meets.
